The link on this page will allow you to download a zip file containing the most up to date provider information for use with the Commercial Claims Public Use Data Set. The zip file contains two files: one is the master (mstr) provider file and the other the service (svc) level provider file. The files are the same format as supplied to you originally with the Public Use Data Set package. The files are asterisk delimited text files and can be imported into a variety of analytical tools. The master file has one record per provider. The service level file may contain multiple records for a single provider. The common link between the files is the DPCID field. The PRVIDN field in the service level file represents the provider identifier at the claim level of payer data.
